A Short Introduction to Surfing PDF Print E-mail
Surfing is a water sport, a surface water sport, each board designed into different riding styles and different lengths. Tow-in surfing is usually associated with big wave surfing(not exclusively) in which a motorized water vehicle tows the surfer into the wave(front), so that the speed of the surfer and the wave will match, it usually doesn't unless the Tow-in is used. In 1767 at Tahiti surfing was observed at first to Europeans(by the Dolphin's crew), it was considered an art and Lieutenant James King wrote about it. Some of the surf related sports available are sea kayaking, paddle boarding - waves aren't needed in this, other surf related sports are windsurfing and kitesurfing that can be used with waves but rely mainly on the wind.
